Parenting Pre-Schoolers, the Positive Discipline Way
October 27th to December 15th on
Tuesdays 10:00 to 11:30am through Zoom
We love our children deeply and raising them to be happy, contributing adults in the 21st century requires more than love. It requires a greater understanding of child development and human behavior, as well as parental leadership skills, that our upbringing alone has not prepared us for.
Our Positive Discipline* parenting classes will put you on a track of confidence, providing you with skills to be that leader while simultaneously learning and growing alongside your children in a family environment of peace and unity.
This period of lock down, while you are intensively interacting with your family at home, is a unique opportunity. It allows us to look more closely and address concerns and goals you may have about your children’s upbringing and general family dynamics. We want to support you in making the best use of this rare chance of a home retreat to focus on and elevate your family life to its maximum, much beyond this temporary period of crisis.
In this course you will learn:
~ The different parenting styles and what is the one that most aligns with your personal values
~ Why children behave the way they do and how you can meet them at their developmental stages
~ How to establish and nurture a parent-child relationship of mutual respect. It sounds easy until you have your buttons pushed
~ How to communicate in a way that invites positive behavior and avoids power struggles
~ How to establish a balanced home routine where everyone's needs are met
~ How to effectively respond to strong emotions (yours & theirs)
~ How to empower children to grow into their full potential from very early on
~ How to keep shame and blame out of your parenting and be your child's inspiring guide
~ How to encourage independent play and prepare the ground for autonomy and responsibility
$350 for full course (7 sessions)
